Roberto Mancini is preparing to make sweeping changes to his Manchester City side ahead of the FA Cup third-round replay against Leicester City at Eastlands tonight.
But he insists the hosts are still focused on victory.
Mancini has decided to freshen up his team after Saturday's 4-3 victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers and Spain international midfielder David Silva is likely to make his comeback from a knee injury. Patrick Vieira, Jerome Boateng, James Milner, Joleon Lescott and Jo are also set to step into the starting line-up.
Whatever changes he makes, Mancini said his team would still possess enough quality to book their place to face Notts County in the fourth round.
"David Silva will probably play against Leicester if his knee is okay," said Mancini.
"Patrick Vieira will probably play. He is an important member of our squad. He is a good player. He has experience.
"But we also have Jerome, James, David, Jo and Lescott. We have other players who we can win this game. We want to win."
Mancini admitted tonight's game was one his side could do without as they chase the Premier League title, but he warned City the FA Cup was still high up on their list of priorities this season.
"The replay I don't like," he said. "We must play a lot of games from now until the end of the season, but Leicester played well against us and now we must play again.
"We want to win because we want to get to Wembley. For me, it is very important. All the games are. I want to win always. Maybe the other team plays well and deserves to win. Now for Tuesday we have four, five or six fresh players. We will make changes but we want to win."
It has been 25 years since Manchester City lifted a piece of silverware, the League Cup in 1976, and midfielder Nigel De Jong believes, once they lift one trophy, more will follow.
"Silverware is silverware and you have to try to win every competition you are in, whether it's the Premier League, Europa League or FA Cup," said De Jong, who featured for Holland in last year's World Cup final.
"The guys are hungry for more success.
"I don't know what the gaffer has in mind for Tuesday, but for me it's just as important as the Premier League, Europa League and Carling Cup.
"The highest point is the World Cup for every footballer, but for me silverware is silverware and you can't just say we're going for this trophy or that trophy.
"Winning something would make the guys feel they can win more."
