Doncaster Rovers 1 Leicester City 1

By LCFC | April 30, 2011

Yakubu rescued a point for Leicester City against Doncaster Rovers at the Keepmoat Stadium.

The Nigerian international rounded off a sweeping attacking move in the 76th minute to score his tenth goal in 19 appearances since joining on loan from Everton, and his third in the last two games.

Steve Booker had earlier put Rovers in front in the 50th minute with a superb curling strike from the edge of the area.

The draw, and results elsewhere in the Championship, confirmed that City would not make the play-offs this season and that Rovers had secured Championship football for another season.

"We shouldn't draw games like this, we should be winning these kinds of games," City boss Sven-Goran Eriksson said afterwards.

"We definitely know now which division we will be in so after the Ipswich game next week we will start thinking about next season and what we can do to try and get promotion."
